Bell metal is one of the earliest method of metal casting. It dates back to the prehistoric times of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, period of Indus Civilization. The belt buckle is made by hands using bee wax , as the bell metal technique follows. Thin noodles are made and then rolled to give it a shape of belt buckle. The buckle is covered with very fine clay which these tribals pick up from fields where they find ant hills. This belt piece is suggesting its association to the rich cultural past of India.
